This

be it professional or amateur, but wish to learn

by the end of the course, to make a film project.
It should be noted that this
course is quite intense and demanding but you will
experience the creative thrill that film making

This course runs over a period of 12 days. It is
designed to enable you to take on various roles,
working as crew, to produce a 10-minute video/DVD
based on a pre-prepared script for a feature movie
trailer using professional actors.
We will
form a production group working from the movie trailer
script with individual roles assigned in order to
produce the project from script to final edit. All
members of the course will receive 'hands on' experience
of every stage of production.
Your tutor’s role will be that of practical
tutor and overall producer. Practical workshops
on all elements of filmmaking will be run, encouraging
you to take these skills and work independently
in groups on the film.
Course notes will be provided as follows:
PITCHING THE IDEA / HOW TO WRITE A PROPOSAL.
VIDEO SCRIPT / RECCE / STORYBOARDING.
LIGHTING / SETS / SETTING THE STAGE.
CAMERA / SOUND / SHOOTING.

EDITING / RHYTHM / MONTAGE.
READING AND ENJOYING THE FINISHED FILM.

to organize, work with others, basic computer literacy,
some knowledge of editing, basic lighting, sound
and camera skills.
We will provide tapes, CD’s, lights, Tripods,
professional digital cameras, computers, story boards,
shoot lists and everything required for the project.
You may, with pre arrangement, work with your own
laptop/camera if you prefer. Pleases note cameras
